Extraction of rpm depending on time

With this graph you will be able to see how the Wav and the rpm file is extraced and how it is smoothed out to obtain a usueable signal.

Visualisation Torque and Power

This graph enables you To visualize Toruqe and Power associated with the chosen vehicle, but also to enter the values manually or to import them

You have a visualization screen of the torque and power of the vehicle. If the data are already indicated, the graphs will appear straigh after the window opens.

Click here for a preview of the screen

If you do not have a vehicle but you would like to test its performances, or if you allready have the data of your vehicle in hand and you do not wish to acquire it by the means above: you have two methods to place them in PowerDyn:

  • A manual input of the data in the left part of the screen. You have 10 values, but you are not obliged to use all to use. The more you use you, the better you graph will be. The portions of curve between the points are estimated by the method of splines. Once the data is entered, click on Play to launch the calculations and post. You can then save the result on the vehicle in progress.
  • An information via a text file by respecting the following format in the file Rpm;Torque(N.m). for example:
    500;10,7
    1500;40,7
    2000;50,7
    2500;65,7
    ...

Once the data imported, click on Play to launch the calculations and create the display. You will the be able to save the current vehicle.

In this screen you will also be able to export the data in CSV format, They will then have the following format: Rpm:Torque (N.m);Power (Ch ). the step is of 100 rpm :

2900;83,7;34,5
3000;100,0;42,7
3100;111,2;49,0
3200;110,6;50,4
3300;105,9;49,7
3400;113,9;55,1
3500;118,6;59,1
3600;125,7;64,4
3700;136,2;71,7
...

It will be possible for you to load the file in excel for example.

Visualise the Speed in relation to the gear

This screen will allow you to visualise the following:

  • The speeds reached according to the gear and the rpm
  • The rpm on the upper speed at the moment of gear change

you can set the conical torque, the gears and the size of the tyres.

Evaluation of the time to accelerate from one speed to another and the distance taken

this optionwill be useful to directly compare vehicles. You will be able to realise that it is not always the more powerful car that gets the best results. For all those that do runs, You will be able to see how your time changes and if you change the size of your tyres of gear or make some modifications PowerDyn determines for you wot the best gear change rpm is to ge the best time possible from one gear to another.

Graph of acceleration against speed on all gears

This graph is very interesting to estimate wot the best rpm is to pass the next gear. In order to have the best acceleration,You need to change gear where the two curves intersect. You can also quickly view the performance of two different vehicles or the impact of a modification (especially the gearbox) on the the acceleration.

Graph of distance and speed against time

To obtain this graph, specify a starting and finishing gear, the passing rpm level and the time to change the gear. You will be able to see the evolution of the distance driven and of the speed of the vehicle in relation to time.
